Emmanuel Mallia L.P., LL.D., M.P. is the founding member of the Firm.
He read law at the University of Malta and was conferred the degree of Doctor of Laws in November 1978, on completion of a thesis entitled ‘The Proper Law of International Contracts’. Emmanuel Mallia is widely regarded by colleagues as one of Malta’s foremost advocates in Criminal Law he has a remarkable number of trial by juries through his distinguished career and formed part of Defence teams in several Criminal Cases abroad.
Emmanuel Mallia was a Lecturer and Examiner of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at the University of Malta and the Academy of the Malta Police. He is also a director for a number of reputable companies, secretary-general of the Rent-a-Car Association, founder of many Employers’ Asspcoatopms, amongst which the Yacht Traders’ Association and the Used Car Importers Association.
Emmanuel Mallia served as President of the Casiino Maltese (1852) for eight years, was Deputy President of the Malta Red Cross Society, and Chairman to a number of Sports Associations
Since 2013, he has been elected as a Member of Parliament and appointed Minister for Home Affairs and National Security, and later served as Minister for Competitiveness and Digital, Maritime and Services Economy.
During his tenure, the Maltese Presidency successfully managed to close a very important file, namely ending roaming mobile phone fees in the EU. Dr Mallia was quoted „this is a key of making further progress towards achieving a European Digital Single Market
Dr Mallia is nominated as Malta’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and was approved by the Parliament of Malta. Emmanuel Mallia is married to Elena Codruta and are proud parents of two boys.
