Associate Lawyer (Litigation)
EMA Advocates is looking to recruit a warranted Associate Lawyer to join our growing team in Malta.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional who is looking to further develop their career within a dynamic legal practice, with a particular focus on litigation and exposure to a broad range of legal matters.
About the Role
The selected candidate will take on a litigation-focused position and will work closely with the firm on a variety of cases and legal matters. While the role places a strong emphasis on litigation, it also offers valuable exposure to multiple areas of practice, making it ideal for a lawyer who is eager to expand their experience and work in a fast-paced professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
The role may involve:
- Assisting with and handling litigation matters
- Drafting legal documents, pleadings, applications, and submissions
- Attending court sittings and supporting case preparation
- Carrying out legal research and analysis
- Advising clients on legal issues in a clear and practical manner
- Collaborating with colleagues across different areas of practice
- Managing files efficiently and maintaining high professional standards
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a candidate who is:
- A warranted lawyer in Malta
- Preferably with 2+ years of experience
- Interested in pursuing or further strengthening a career in litigation
- Organised, proactive, and attentive to detail
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- A strong communicator with a professional approach to client service
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain flexible hours of work
