Dr Maria Cardona is a Senior Associate at EMA Advocates and has been a practicing lawyer for the past 7 years. She was admitted to the Bar in 2010. She has been involved in many reputable cases. She is also seasoned in pleading in front of diverse Tribunals and Boards, and attended a conference on the “Strengthening cooperation between the judiciary and torture monitoring bodies in the European Union” held in Vienna. Dr Maria Cardona wrote her LL.D. Thesis on; “To what extent does scheduled property restrict the exclusive and absolute right of ownership?” She is fluent in Maltese, English, Italian and French.Her areas of practice include her primary practice area of family law in Malta, as well as civil law, property and succession law, industrial tribunals, small claims tribunals, arbitration tribunals, administrative law, social security law, rent law, courts of voluntary jurisdiction and consumer affairs tribunals.
